In Greek mythology, a hippocamp is a fantastical sea beast that is half fish, half horse, and they were the steeds that pulled Neptune (or Poseidon’s) chariot. The Greeks believed that hippocampi were the adults forms of the sea horse fish. In Latin, hippocampi literally means crooked horses.

What a fantastic rendition! It is a pleasure to look at, and so different from most such images you can find these days. Very beautiful, and it seems one of our Eggs likes it as well.
