A dryad is a tree nymph in Greek mythology. I chose to make my dryad in the act of turning back into a tree, and she sports autumnal colors in honor of the current Fall season.

This piece has such strong impact and usage of pattern and gold that it strongly reminds me of Klimt. Maybe it's because there is a usage of a woman as well, but while there are strong similarities, the piece is able to diverge into a style and category all on its own. I can clearly tell that you transferred your own personal style into the piece, making it so much more unique! Love the effect overall.
