A phoenix is a mythical firebird with a colorful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet symbolizing rebirth.

This artwork is a mixed media creation with gold acrylic paint, embossed decorative paper, oil pastels, woodless colored pencils, marker pens, paint pens and black sharpie on Canson watercolor paper. Original measures about 12.5×19 inches.

This scan does not really do the picture justice as it does not pick up the metallic golds used throughout the image.
